There are some things in life that take our breath away... for me, it's been lots of things over the years but recently it was the birth of our baby girl. Hallie Jordan Post was born this past Monday, March 8th at 9:54AM. She weighed 7 LB 1 OZ, and was 20 inches long. It's been an amazing first few days, and we've been so blessed that she's a good eater and sleeper, unlike her brother. :-)
Something I never expected was that the doctor, at the last possible minute, asked me if I wanted to deliver her. It was an amazing moment when I was able to hold her and bring her out, and it won't ever be forgotten. It was a powerful time. Then, to take our baby girl and lay her on her mommy's chest and cut her cord was even more powerful... such a blessing these babies are. We've already shared our first dance in the kitchen :-) I'm happy to report that mommy and baby are doing great and big brother Hayden is adjusting well. Life is good!
I couldn't help but think of her feet last night as I took the picture of her toes. Just where will her feet will one day travel? If she would follow in ministry the steps of her mother and father? If she would travel the world, etc. Time will tell and what a beautiful time it will be.
